Townhouse, Notting Hill

Up Architects were appointed to undertake a full refurbishment of a three storey town house in Notting Hill that had dark and dated interiors, a cramped staircase and inadequate storage. The main brief was to solve these issues and we transformed the property by remodelling spaces to open them up to each other and the windows to allow more natural light in to the plan, including a complete rebuilding of the main staircase.

We were involved in the interiors and sourced and supplied the joinery, fittings and furnishings all to the highest specifications, as demanded by the clients, who wanted this to be the last time they did any work to the house. The features like the curved cornered openings, marble and brass fittings all added to the timeless, London art-deco look and feel of the house.
