We have been working up designs for a new extension in Putney for some clients whose brief was centred around sustainability, the use of ecologically friendly materials and a quick build time. We are going to be using an expressed glulam frame wrapped in a thick layer of insulation and finished off with beautiful oak shingle cladding.

We are so happy that our narrowboat project in Little Venice is finally completed and photographed by the lovely Veronica Rodriguez. This was a luxury fit-out of a narrowboat on the exclusive moorings in Little Venice for a client who runs a business in Spain to use when he is in London on his regular work trips.

We are pleased to announce the planning application for our flat conversion scheme in Hackney has been submitted and validated. Planning decision expected in January 2025!

We are are happy to report we have received planning consent from the London Borough of Lewisham for a new extension in Sydenham.

Up Architects were recently shortlisted along with two other design teams for our competition entry for the new visitors centre and market on the harbour at Eyemouth in Scotland. The project involved the regneration and re-imagiing of the harbourside into a new events venue, daily food market and a place to exhibit the culture and history of the area.

We have just completed a lovely little extension project in Islington where we infilled the lower ground floor side return with an exposed pre-made glulam frame that included a lattice roof structure to sit underneath a large, single paned rooflight set within a green roof.

We are busy with the detailed design getting ready to tender our private residential scheme in Beaconsfield. We are putting a lot of effort into the pool house design which is the centrepiece of what the clients want to achieve. We have designed a contemporary buiding which makes use of lots of solid oak sections and clay roof tiles which help relate the new poolhouse to the main house, which is of a more traditional construction.

We are pleased to announce that we received householder planning permission for our private residential scheme in Beaconsfield. The project involves extending and refurbishing a large detached house and the construction of a new swimming pool and pool house all set within a newly landscaped garden. An exciting project and one that we are looking forward to starting the detailed design on.
