An early Up Architects project that involved the remodelling of a spacious flat in East London.
The work involved converting the flat from a three bed to a four bedroom property, the installation of a new kitchen and bathroom and a full refurbishment to a modern standard.
There are a many unexpected and quirky features in the flat that were inspired by the desire to experiment with different materials, clever joinery and storage solutions and interesting ways to light the space.
Key features are the unusual floor finishes, the copper splashback and lighting fixtures integrated into the through-coloured black MDF joinery.
